The Men / The Women

Christian  Bale
Birth Name: Christian Morgan Bale
Date of Birth: January 30, 1974
Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK
Height: 6' 2"

Christian Bale has garnered a huge international audience ever since he wowed critics with his devastating performance in Steven Spielberg's WWII epic, "EMPIRE OF THE SUN." Bale made his professional debut opposite British comedian, Rowan Atkinson on the London West End stage. He auditioned with 4000 other kids for the coveted role of James Graham in Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. Bale received a special citation for Best Performance by a Juvenile Actor from the National Board of Review - an award specially created for his performance in Empire. In the following decade, Welsh-born Bale has appeared in Shakespeare, dramas and comedies demonstrating a versatility, depth and range that has made him one of the best reviewed actors today and the most popular actor on the Internet. Bale is the youngest in a family of 3 older sisters (Erin, Sharon, and Louise).
Bale was picked by director/writer Mary Harron and author Brett Easton Ellis to star in "AMERICAN PSYCHO", only to lose the part to Leonardo DiCaprio, and then win it back again
Bale is an excellent horseman and an avid reader.
He trained for 10 weeks in dancing and martial arts for the dance sequences in "Newsies" and "Swing Kids."
He has an uncanny ear for accents - he has used a different accent for each of his films to date.  Bale stared with Winona Ryder for the coveted role of Laurie (Theodore Laurence) in Little Women.
Bale is step-son of feminist activist Gloria Steinem since his father David married feminist icon Gloria Steinem on September 3, 2000,
Since reading "Charlotte's Web", Christian does not eat red meat and is a devoted animal lover. Christian has two dogs [Mojo and Ramone] and three cats [Miriam, Molly, and Lilly], which are all strays that he found.  He is also active in many organizations, including Ark Trust, Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Foundation, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the Redwings Sanctuary, and the Happy Child Mission, and a school for streetkids in Rio De Janeiro.
On filming the sex scene with Ewan McGregor in "Velvet Goldmine," Bale states, "I took it like a man. He was really tender, very caring. He hugged me afterward. But he never writes. He never calls. Goddamn him! Actually, it was a freezing night when we were doing the scene, and it was far less explicit than Ewan and myself thought it was going to be. The camera was on another roof looking across at us. The only thing Todd did was whisper, 'Cut, ' rather than shouting it, so that Ewan and I couldn't hear. We were going at it for ages. Then Ewan sort of turned his head and realized, 'Hey, the camera's not f--king pointed at us anymore!' So, I sort of turned my head. We stop, and the whole crew is just sitting there. They'd cut ages ago!"

Christian  Bale : "An actor should never be larger than the film he's in."

Ed Norton
Birth name -Edward James Norton Jr.
Date of Birth - August 18, 1969
Boston, Massachusetts

Following graduation, Edward worked in Osaka, Japan, consulting for his grandfather's company, Enterprise Foundation, which works to create decent, affordable housing for low-income families.
On his return to New York, it took less than two years of watering before the young thespian to capture the eye of Edward Albee, one of the most celebrated playwrights of the 20th century. Albee was working with the Signature Theater Company on a new production of Fragments. One audition and Norton landed the role, as well as a slot in Signature's repertory company. He currently serves on its board of directors
Norton played guitar with the band Hole in two gigs in Los Angeles, in December 1998
When Norton met with the director for Primal Fear, he told them that he, like Aaron, came from eastern Kentucky. Norton even spoke with the twang. "I knew the accent because my grandparents were from that area, " he says a year later. "But I certainly don't have it, so I prepared by watching Coal Miner's Daughter."
His character Aaron Stampler in "Primal Fear" which was based on a book did not have a stutter but when he auditioned, but he made him the character a stutter when he auditioned.
His architect grandfather James Rouse designed some well-known buildings, including Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston, the center of tourist activity in the city
Influenced by a babysitter, Betsy True, who went on to play Cosette in the Broadway production of Les Miserables, Norton flirted with an acting career through high school and college
During filming, Norton and his "Fight Club" co-star Brad Pitt took soap making classes. Edward states, "Life, like poker has an element of risk. It shouldn't be avoided. It should be faced." With "Rounders" co-star Matt Damon, he competed in the World Series of Poker at Las Vegas on May 1998 with the movie studio Miramax paying the $10,000 per person entrance fee.
His character Worm in "Rounders" was originally supposed to smoke but avid nonsmoker Edward Norton refused. "I don't smoke and I don't want to smoke. I am not a fan of gratuitous smoking in films," says Norton.
He worked as a waiter, a proofreader, and a director's assistant in New York City and he applied to be a New York City cab driver, but he was rejected for the license because he didn't meet the age requirement. Edward has a B.A. in history from Yale in 1991, but took many theatre and Japanese courses as an undergraduate, he speaks fluent Japanese.
Norton auditioned for the role of 'Rudy Baylor' in the movie "The Rainmaker". The role eventually went to Matt Damon and he turned down the role of Private Ryan in Saving Private Ryan.  He got the role for "Fight Club" because director David Fincher enjoyed his performance in "The People vs. Larry Flynt", which was the only film of the actor's that he had seen. Ed was considered for the role of Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon. Director Milos Forman could not decide between him and Jim Carrey and left the decision up to the studio. The studio decided to go with Carrey. Producers of American Psycho wanted him to play Patrick Bateman
Norton says, "I'm an actor and, each time out, I'm trying to convince the audience that I'm this character. Every little thing that people know about you as a person impedes your ability to achieve that kind of terrific suspension of disbelief that happens when an audience goes with an actor and character [he's] playing." On fame Edward states," It's a nice position to be in; I'm lucky. At the same time, all the excitement of that has been put into stark perspective ... In some ways, the highs of it have been blunted, which in a way, is a gift."

Ed Norton : "Acting? It's a longstanding compulsion I've had since I was about five or six years old. I can literally identify the moment it struck me. I went to see a play [If I Were a Princess] in which a babysitter of mine [Betsy True, who later acted on Broadway] was performing. I was completely shell-shocked by the magic of this little community-theater play; it just riveted me."

Johnny Depp
Birth Name: John Christopher Depp III
Date of Birth: June 9, 1963
Owensboro, Kentucky
Height: 5' 10"

Johnny Depp's parents divorced when he was 15. "I don't even have a mental picture of the houses we lived in because there were so many," says Depp. "I was bored with high school, so I dropped out.  Puberty was very vague. I literally locked myself in a room and played guitar." He fell so much under the spell of "Edward Scissorhands" co-star Winona Ryder that they were engaged from 1990 to 1993. In 1994, he trashed a $1,200-a-night hotel room in New York City and was arrested on a criminal mischief charge. "I know that I have demons ," he told Vanity Fair. "He's the kind of guy that would be really sweet to a girl and bring her flowers," says actress and buddy Traci Lords, "but still take a pee in the alley ." According to People Magazine, Johnny regularly cuts his own arms to mark important events in his life. "I'm sounding like John Denver or something," he told Vanity Fair, "but I look forward to having a kind of peace of mind. I know that we all get there eventually."
Johnny has a daughter, Lily-Rose Melody Depp with Vanessa Paradis. He was featured on a rock album from the british band, Oasis. Depp plays lead slide guitar on the track, "Fade In-Out". Oasis's own lead guitarist was to drunk to perform it himself, so celebrity pal Depp stepped in and nailed the lead on one take. When engaged to Winona Ryder, he had her first name tattooed on his arm. After the broke up he had the n and a surgically removed to simply say Wyno.
Depp played as guitarist in a band called "The Kids," he currently plays in a band called "P" and owns the L.A. nightclub The Viper Room.  Johnny states, "Anything I've done up till 27 May 1999 was kind of an illusion, existing without living. Keanu Reeves
Birth Name: Keanu Charles Reeves
Date of Birth: September 2, 1964
Beirut, Lebanon
Height: 6' 1"

One of the most inscrutable actors to ever hit it big, Keanu Reeves has been by turns adored, reviled, and grudgingly respected by the movie-going public. As the controversy over his talent rages on, his career choices and paychecks show him inching toward A-list status. Reeves, whose first name means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian, was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1964. His mother, Patricia, was a showgirl; his father, Samuel Nowlin Reeves, a geologist. After their marriage dissolved, Keanu moved with his mother and younger sister Kim to New York City, then Toronto. His first Stepfather was Paul Aaron, a stage and film director--he and Patricia divorced within a year, after which she went on to marry (and divorce) rock promoter Robert Miller and hair salon owner Jack Bond. Reeves never reconnected with his biological father, who is now in prison on charges of cocaine possession. In high school, Reeves was lukewarm toward academics but took a keen interest in ice hockey (as team goalie, he earned the nickname "The Wall") and drama. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue an acting career. After a few stage gigs and a handful of made-for-TV movies, he scored a supporting role in the Rob Lowe hockey flick "Youngblood", which was filmed in Canada. Shortly after the production wrapped, Reeves packed his bags and headed for Hollywood. Reeves popped up on critics' radar with his performance in the dark adolescent drama "River's Edge," but his first popular success was the role of totally rad dude Ted Logan in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." The wacky time-travel movie became something of a cultural phenomenon, and audiences would forever confuse Reeves's real-life persona with that of his doofy on-screen counterpart. Over the next few years, Reeves tried to shake the Ted stigma with a series of highbrow projects. He played a slumming rich boy opposite River Phoenix's narcoleptic male hustler in "My Own Private Idaho," an unlucky lawyer who stumbles into the vampire's lair in "Dracula," and Shakespearean party-pooper Don Jon in "Much Ado About Nothing." In 1994, the understated actor became a big-budget action star with the release of "Speed."  Its success heralded an era of five years in which Reeves would alternate between largely unwatched small films, like "Feeling Minnesota" and "The Last Time I Committed Suicide," and unwatched big films like "Johnny Mnemonic" and "Chain Reaction."  After all this Reeves did the unthinkable and passed on the "Speed" sequel, but he struck box-office gold again a few years later with the Wachowski brothers' cyberadventure "The Matrix." Despite his deadpan delivery style and reputation as an oaf, Reeves continues to reel in choice roles and fat paychecks. Whatever he knows, he's not telling the public--his self-deprecating interview tactics and mysterious private life provide little insight into his artistry. As far as Reeves is concerned, it seems, he's just a regular guy who rides a motorcycle, plays in a band (Dogstar), and shows up every now and then for a movie shoot.
Keanu once said, "What would happen if you melted? You know, you never really hear this talked about much, but spontaneous combustion? It exists!...[people] burn from within...sometimes they'll be in a wooden chair and the chair won't burn, but there'll be nothing left of the person. Except sometimes his teeth. Or the heart. No one speaks about this, but its for real."

Kiefer Sutherland
Birth Name: Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland
Date of Birth: December 21, 1966
London, England
Height: 5' 10"

Kiefer is grandson of former Saskatchewan premier Tommy Douglas, leader of the first elected socialist government in North America.  He is the son of actor Donald Sutherland and actress Shirley Douglas and has a twin sister, Rachel.
The spitting image of his father, Donald Sutherland, this young, square-faced actor handles starring roles and supporting parts equally well, and to date he's avoided typecasting. First appearing on-screen in " Max Dugan Returns", ( a bit part with his father) and " The Bay Boy" he was widely noticed as the adolescent tough in " Stand By Me". Kiefer Sutherland is a member of the "brat pack", a well-known, frequently seen group of actors in the 80's, including Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, and Charlie Sheen.
In 1987, a creepy turn as a young vampire in " The Lost Boys" cemented his burgeoning-star status. Kiefer married Camelia Kath in 1988 and divorced in 1990 they have one daughter Sarah Jude. Among the many reasons cited for the break-up of his first marriage, one was his friendship with " Lost Boys" castmate Jason Patric and other members of the "brat pack."  More ensemble films with hot young actors followed, including " Young Guns", its 1990 sequel, and " Flatliners", which costarred Julia Roberts, to whom he was briefly engaged. Ironically enough, his friendship with Jason Patric dissolved after his fiancé Julia Roberts left with Patric for Europe and the last-minute cancellation of their planned Hollywood wedding was headline fodder for months.
Since then Sutherland has, like his father, shown a willingness to try almost any kind of part, from comic (a straitlaced FBI agent trying to deal with flaky fugitive Dennis Hopper in " Flashback" to creepy (a venal, by-the-book Marine who's been involved in foul play in " A Few Good Men" He was an effective and empathic lead in the American version of " The Vanishing" and a lively Athos in " The Three Musketeers". That same year, he made a credible directing debut on the telefilm " Last Light" in which he also starred, as a convicted killer sentenced to death.

Kiefer remarried and wife Kelly Winn Sutherland in June of '96, she filed for divorce in Los Angeles on March 13, 2000 citing irreconcilable differences.  One of his hobbies is Team Roping. He primarily is a header

Will Smith
Birth Name: Willard Christopher Smith Jr.
Date of Birth: September 25, 1968
Height: 6' 2"

Will Smith was the second of four children of Caroline and Willard Smith Sr., owner of a refrigeration company. He grew up in middle class West Philadelphia and got the nickname 'Prince' because of the way he could charm his way out of trouble. Will turned down a scholarship to MIT to pursue his singing career.  Pursuing music, he met Jeff Townes at a party and they soon began performing together as DJ.Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. When the duo took off in popularity, Smith made, and spent a lot of money on a house, cars and jewelry. But Smith was looking for something new when, in 1989, he met Benny Medina, who had an idea for a sitcom based on his life in Beverly Hills. Smith loved the idea as did NBC which put on the 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. The plot was simple - Will basically played himself; a street-smart West Phily kid transplanted to Beverly Hills. The series lasted 6 years. During that time, he ventured into movies where the critics took note of him in Six Degrees of Separation (1993). With the success that came with the action picture Bad Boys (1995), Will's movie career was set.
Will is married to Jada Pinkett.Met, they when she tried out for the role of his girlfriend on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the role eventually went to Nia Long. They have a son, Christopher Syre Smith. Will also has a son with his first wife Zampino, Willard Smith III "Trey." Will's brother Harry and sister Ellen are twins.

Jim Carey
Birth Name: James Eugene Carrey
Date of Birth: January 17, 1962
Newmarket, Ontario, Canada
Height: 6' 2"

Jim is the youngest of four children born to Percy (an accountant and aspiring jazz saxophonist) and Kathleen. Jim Carrey was an incurable extrovert from day one. As a child he performed constantly, for anyone who would watch, and even mailed his résumé to the "Carol Burnett Show" at age 10. In junior high he was granted a few precious minutes at the end of each school day to do stand-up routines for his classmates (provided, of course, that he kept a lid on it the rest of the day). Carrey's early adolescence took a turn for the tragic, however, when the family was forced to relocate from their cozy Toronto suburb to the industrial town of Scarborough. They all took security and janitorial jobs in the Titan Wheels factory, Jim working 8-hour shifts after school let out (not surprisingly, his grades and morale both suffered). When they finally deserted the factory, the family lived out of a Volkswagen camper van until they could return to Toronto.
Back on firmer ground, Carrey decided to strike out into the comedy club scene. He made his (reportedly awful) professional stand-up debut at Yuk-Yuk's, one of the many local clubs that would serve as his training ground in the years to come. He dropped out of high school, worked on his celebrity impersonations (among them Michael Landon and James Stewart), and in 1979 worked up the nerve to move to Los Angeles.
He finessed his way into a regular gig at The Comedy Store, where he impressed Rodney Dangerfield so much that the veteran comic signed him as an opening act for an entire season. During this period Carrey met and married waitress Melissa Womer, with whom he had a daughter (Jane).
Wary of falling into the lounge act lifestyle, Carrey began to look around for other performance outlets. He landed a part as a novice cartoonist in the short-lived sitcom "The Duck Factory" in 1984.  While the show fell flat, the experience gave Carrey the confidence to pursue acting more vigorously. He scored the male lead in the ill-received Lauren Hutton vehicle "Once Bitten", and a supporting role in "Peggy Sue Got Married", before making a modest splash with his appearance as the alien Wiploc in "Earth Girls Are Easy".
Impressed with Carrey's lunacy, fellow extraterrestrial Damon Wayans made a call to his brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, who was in the process of putting together the sketch comedy show "In Living Color". Carrey joined the cast and quickly made a name for himself with outrageous acts (one of his most popular characters, psychotic Fire Marshall Bill, was attacked by watchdog groups for dispensing ill-advised safety tips).
Carrey's transformation from TV goofball to marquis headliner happened within the course of a single year. He opened 1994 with a starring turn in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective", a film that cashed in on his extremely physical brand of humor (the character's trademark was talking out his derrière). Next up was the manic superhero movie "The Mask", which had audiences wondering just how far Carrey's features could stretch. Finally, in December, he hit theaters as a loveable dolt in the Farrelly brothers' "Dumb & Dumber" (his first multi-million dollar payday). Carey and wife Melissa Wormer would later go through a very messy divorce, freeing Carrey up for a brief second marriage to actress and "Dumb & Dumber" co-star Lauren Holly.
Now a box-office staple, Carrey brought his manic antics onto the set of "Batman Forever", replacing Robin Williams as The Riddler. He also filmed the follow-up to his breakthrough, "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls", and inked a deal with Sony to star in "The Cable Guy" (replacing Chris Farley) for a cool $20 million--at the time, that was the biggest up-front sum that had been offered to any comic actor. The movie turned out to be a disappointment, both critically and financially, but Carrey bounced back the next year with the energetic hit "Liar Liar".
Worried that his comic shtick would soon wear thin, Carrey decided to change course. In 1998, he traded in the megabucks and silly grins to star in Peter Weir's "The Truman Show". Playing a naive salesman who discovers that his entire life is the subject of a TV show, Carrey demonstrated an uncharacteristic sincerity that took moviegoers by surprise. He won a Golden Globe for the performance, and fans anticipated an Oscar nomination as well, when it didn't materialize, Carrey lashed out at Academy members for their narrow-minded selection process.
Perhaps inspired by the snub, Carrey threw himself into his next role with abandon. After edging out a handful of other hopefuls (including Edward Norton) to play eccentric funnyman Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon", Carrey disappeared into the role, living as Kaufman--and his blustery alter-ego Tony Clifton--for months (Carrey even owned Kaufman's bongo drums, which he'd used during his audition for director Milos Forman). His sometimes uncanny impersonation was rewarded with another Golden Globe, but once again the Academy kept quiet.
An indignant Carrey next reprised his bankable mania for the Farrelly brothers in "Me, Myself & Irene", playing a state trooper whose Jekyll and Hyde personalities both fall in love with the same woman (Renée Zellweger). Carrey's real-life persona wound up falling for her too, a few months after the film wrapped, the pair announced they were officially a couple. By then, Carrey had already slipped into a furry green suit to play the stingy antihero of Ron Howard's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". He plans to take a break from the limelight after the holiday flick (as he puts it, "I'm looking forward to getting out of America's face"). Is there another Carrey reinvention in the works? If so, he's not talking.

Billy Crudup
Date of Birth: July 8, 1968
Manhasset, New York

Known as much for his rigorous career choices as for his talent and chiseled good looks, Billy Crudup has been straddling the line between serious actor and "it" leading man for several years. Crudup was born in Manhasset, New York (a Long Island suburb) in 1968, the middle child in a family of three boys. As a youngster he lived in Texas and Florida, finding roles in school pageants and developing funny impersonations to entertain family and friends. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina (where he confirmed his interest in acting), then went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 1994. A year later he'd already made a name for himself on Broadway, earning the Outer Critics Circle Outstanding Newcomer Award for his performance in Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia".
Crudup's first big-screen acting gig was in the indie film "Grind", which was shot in 1994, but ended up on the shelf for three years. In 1996 he landed another, more lucrative role opposite Hollywood hotshots Brad Pitt and Jason Patric in the Barry Levinson drama "Sleepers". He followed that up with a brief appearance in Woody Allen's "Everyone Says I Love You" and a higher-profile turn as the rakish older brother in "Inventing the Abbotts".
A self-described student of human nature, Crudup has said that he looks for characters wrestling with their mistakes. Rumor has it that he declined an audition for the lead in "Titanic" in order to seek out more challenging projects, like the Steve Prefontaine biopic "Without Limits" which showcased Crudup's ability to completely transform himself for a role (a quality that would help him skirt stardom while continuing to land substantive parts). In 2000, with three major films in release, Crudup's already bustling movie career reached a fever pitch. He first hit the festival circuit in Keith Gordon's "Waking the Dead", the tale of an up-and-coming politician who is haunted by the death of his young wife. Next came the art-house favorite "Jesus' Son", in which Crudup played a nomadic soul named F-head. Finally, he starred as the semi-fictional '70s rocker Russell Hammond in Cameron Crowe's much-lauded "Almost Famous".
Crudup lives in New York and returns regularly to the stage, in fact, it was during the 1996 Broadway run of "Bus Stop" that he began his romance with longtime girlfriend Mary-Louise Parker. He seems to prefer quiet anonymity to the pomp and circumstance of the movie star lifestyle, but his ever-growing popularity guarantees that he won't be able to avoid the spotlight altogether.

Billy Crudup : When asked who has been the biggest influence on his career, he says, "Mary Louise [Parker, his girlfriend and fellow actor] is a tremendous influence on me. She has incredible discipline. She takes the time day-to-day to watch people, to listen to people. To understand why people do things. And to me, a great actor is someone who's incredibly compassionate. To me, that's really it as far as an actor is concerned".

Brendan Fraser
Birth Name: Brendan James Fraser
Date of Birth: December 3, 1968
Indianapolis, Indiana
Height: 6' 3"

The son of a Canadian travel executive who frequently moved his family, Brendan can claim affinity with Ottawa, Indianapolis, Detroit, Seattle, London and Rome. He was raised in Holland, Switzerland, and Canada and educated at Upper Canada College in Toronto, the Actors' Conservatory, and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.  His early exposure to theatre, particularly in London, led him to Seattle's Cornish Institute. After graduation he found a minor role as Sailor #1 in River Phoenix's "Dogfight", then somewhat more substantial roles in "Encino Man" and "School Ties". Fraser was awarded the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Actor at the 1997 Seattle International Film Festival for his portrayal of Fletcher McBracken in the 'James F. Robinson' film " Still Breathing.  He expresses a preference for playing "fish out of water" men.
Five more years of supporting work led finally to the title role in "George of the Jungle", a role which fully utilized his charm and beefy good looks, as well as offering him a chance to show off his comic talents. He describes this role as the one which dramatically altered his career. Critical raves for his role in "Gods and Monsters" pointed to yet another dimension to his dramatic persona. Brendan is married to Afton Smith.

Brad Pitt was born in Oklahoma and raised in Springfield, Missouri. His mother's name is Jane. His father, Bill, worked in management at a trucking firm in Springfield. In high school Pitt was involved in sports (he was a member of the golf, tennis, and swim teams), debating, student government and school musicals and belonged to the Key Club and the Forensics Club.  He Graduated in 1982 from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Mo. and has a younger brother Doug Pitt.  Pitt attended the University of Missouri where he majored in journalism with a focus on advertising. He occasionally acted in fraternity shows. He left college two credits short of graduating to move to California. Before he became successful at acting, Pitt supported himself by driving strippers in limos, moving refrigerators and dressing as a giant chicken while working for "el Pollo Loco".
Brad married to Jennifer Aniston on July 29, 2000.
He turned down a role as an astronaut in Apollo 13 to accept his Oscar-nominated role in Twelve Monkeys.
Pitt posed for a campus calendar in college. Pitt dated Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear). They met when they filmed the NBC movie of the week entitled Too Young to Die?. Pitt and Lewis also did the film Kalifornia together. He also dated Jitka Pohlodek, Katja von Garnier, Jill Schoelen (whom he met on the set of their film Cutting Class), actress Robin Givens and had a run-in with her ex-husband boxer Mike Tyson over her. Pitt briefly dated Geena Davis, his co-star in Thelma & Louise, he was the third choice for the role of J.D. in Thelma & Louise. William Baldwin, the first choice, left to star in Backdraft. He is close friends with Melissa Etheridge. While he and Gwyneth Paltrow were dating, Paltrow appeared in Etheridge's video for the song "I Want to Come Over."
In 1999 a girl went to Pitt's Hollywood-area home shortly after midnight Jan. 7, 1999 and crawled in through an open window, dressed herself in his clothes and stayed for 10 hours before the alarm went off. Athena Rolando, 19, was ordered February 10 to not contact the actor and to stay 100 yards away from him for three years. Brad was banned from entering China because of his role in "Seven Years in Tibet."  In June 1996 he donated $100,000 to the Discovery Center - a children's learning museum in his hometown of Springfield, MO.
Pitt's first starring role in a feature film was in Dark Side of the Sun, The (1997) shot in pre-war Yugoslavia during the summer of 1988. As editing neared completion civil war tore apart the region and much of the footage was lost. In 1996, after a five-year search, all of the lost footage was found and returned to producer Angelo Arandjelovic, it can be seen on IFC. Pitt was paid $1,523 per week for seven weeks. He played a young American taken by his family to the Adriatic Sea to search for a cure for a rare skin disease.
In 1996 Brad purchased a mansion is southern California from the actress who portrays "Elvira" (Cassandra Peterson). He reportedly paid $1.7 million for the house. This mansion is filled with antiques and has a "vampirish" look to it. Brad recently said, "Being married means I can break wind and eat ice cream in bed."

Nicolas  Cage
Birth Name: Nicholas Kim Coppola
Date of Birth: January 7, 1964,
Long Beach, California
Height: 6' 1"

The son of comparative literature professor August Coppola (a brother of director Francis Ford Coppola) and dancer/choreographer Joy Vogelsang, Cage changed his name early in his career to make his own reputation, succeeding brilliantly with a host of classic, quirky roles by the late 1980s. Initially studying theatre at Beverly Hills High (though he dropped out at 17), he secured a bit part in Fast Times at Ridgemont High -- most of which was cut, dashing his hopes and leading to a job selling popcorn at the Fairfax Theater, thinking that would be the only route to a movie career. But a job reading lines with auditioners for uncle Francis's Rumble Fish landed him a role in that film, followed by the punk-rocker in Valley Girl which was released first and truly launched his career. His one-time passion for method acting reached a personal limit when he smashed a street-vendor's remote-control car to achieve the sense of rage needed for his gangster character in The Cotton Club. In his early 20s, he dated Jenny Wright for two years, later linked to Uma Thurman. After a relationship of several years with Kristina Fulton, a model, they split amicably and share custody of a son, Weston Coppola Cage.
Cage proposed to Patricia Arquette on the day he met her in the early 80s. Arquette thought he was a bit strange but played along with his antics by creating a list of things Cage would have to fulfil to win her. When he started to work his way through the list, Arquette got scared and avoided him. They met again many years later and later went on to marry on April 8, 1995.
Cage is half German, half Italian and is also the nephew of Talia Shire. He got Johnny Depp his first acting job and is close friends with Tom Waits. Nicolas Cage took his stage name  from comic book character Luke Cage.  He owns a Lamborghini that used to belong to the Shah of Iran. He lives in a fake castle on the outskirts LA. He wants to import an authentic one from overseas. He also loves to improvise, occasionally to the annoyance of other cast members and collects comic books and sees them as being today's equivalent of mythology. His brothers are Marc Coppola and Christopher Coppola and he suffers from vertigo. Cage once said "To be a good actor you have to be something like a criminal, to be willing to break the rules to strive for something new."

Matt Dillon
Date of Birth: February 18, 1964
New Rochelle, New York

Matt Dillon's grandmother, Bea Dillon, is the sister of two famous artists: Alex Raymond and Jim Raymond. Alex Raymond was the creator of the cartoon strip, Flash Gordon; and also Jungle Jim, and Rip Kirby. Jim Raymond drew Blondie for Chic Young for about 40 years. His younger brother Kevin Dillon has appeared in "Heaven Help Us", "Platoon", "The Blob"), "Immediate Family", and "The Doors".
As the junkie thief in "Drugstore Cowboy", Gus Van Santa's slice of contemporary low-life, this square-jawed, fair-skinned, dark browed young actor finally impressed critics. His nuance performance came as a shock to those who had written him off from the beginning for his glowering, simian-like performances as tough teens in "Over the Edge", his debut, "Little Darlings" and "My Bodyguard". As a teen heartthrob, Dillon perfectly portrayed alienated young men in Tim Hunter's "Tex" and two adaptations of S.E. Hinton novels for Francis Ford Coppola, "Rumble Fish" and "The Outsiders".
A light, witty role as the cabana boy with stars in his eyes in Garry Marshall's nostalgic "The Flamingo Kid" proved to be the turning point in Dillon's career, though his films since then have not always lived up to expectations, as witness "Target" and "Native Son". Dillon cites Gene Hickman as a major idol and influence on his work, especially after working with him in " Target". He was excellent in the otherwise lackluster gambling drama "The Big Town" and in "Kansas," both films cast him in unsympathetic but well-rounded roles.
The possibility of playing a bad guy was further exploited in "A Kiss Before Dying", in which he was an ambitious psychopath. His credits include "Singles", "Mr. Wonderful", "The Saint of Fort Washington", and "Golden Gate."

Patrick Dempsey
Date of Birth: January 13, 1966
Lewiston, Maine

Patrick lived in Buckfield, Maine and attended Buckfield High School. As a teenager he placed third in his age group at the National Jugglers Convention. Aspired to attend Clown College.
The curly-haired, personable leading man of youth-oriented features, generally cast as lighthearted, often bashful, characters. Although busy, Dempsey has yet to win box-office stature, possibly because so many of his vehicles have been misfires like "Can't Buy Me Love", "Some Girls", " Happy Together", "Loverboy", "In the Mood", the best of the lot and a much underrated film, with Dempsey as real-life "woo woo kid" Sonny Wisecarver.
Dempsey showed his dramatic mettle as a young Meyer Lansky in "Mobsters" and in the title role of the miniseries "JFK: Reckless Youth".
